About us
It was while living in rural Switzerland that our love and respect for nature and the great outdoors flourished. This experience, coupled with learning a great deal about sustainability from the Swiss, inspired us to create our own eco haven back in the UK.
When we stumbled across the spectacular stretch of coast at Camber Sands, we knew we had found the perfect location. In 2014 we found the ideal property and set about knocking down the existing building to create a cedar-clad, four-bedroom beach-front home.
Fast forward to 2018 and The Sea House was complete – our dream had become a reality.

The House
The Sea House offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The property can sleep 10 in the main house and 2 in a separate studio. There are four bedrooms, four bathrooms (two en suite), open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room, pantry, TV/media room, utility, plus an extra sitting room on the first floor. It offers unrivalled views of the channel and,
on a clear day, you can see the coast of France.
Vast glass sliding doors span the dining and sitting area on the ground floor, leading out to a patio and shingle garden. The sea-facing rooms on the first floor feature glass doors and balconies, while the master bedroom on the top floor includes a spectacular tiered roof terrace, complete with fire pit and roof garden.
The interiors are high-spec but environmentally friendly
– the property has a ground-source pump for heating together with solar power, a fresh air circulating system and is constructed using natural materials including cedar and concrete. It was important that we used local architects, builders, craftsmen and suppliers, to provide a low carbon footprint. In 2019, the house won a design award from Sussex Heritage Trust, and is shortlisted in the Sunday Times British Homes Award.
The Sea House has become our escape from urban life and with its dramatic seas and dreamy sunsets, the setting never fails to inspire whatever the season. We are thrilled that people are now able to enjoy it in all its beauty.

Facilities
The house is fitted with Gaggenau and Miele kitchen appliances including oven, warmer, combi-steam oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Quooker filtered hot tap. There is a utility area with Miele washer and dryer. There is also Sky TV, WiFi and a fully integrated sound system throughout.
